Back to Past Projects Overview

This final chapter is about reconnection, renewal, and choosing to do things differently going forward.

Day 7: the comeback project – carroll media, hyperlynx studio & culligan quench 2

By the time Carroll Media Services re-entered the picture, I had been through a full career cycle: the early enthusiasm, the missteps, the wins, and the burnouts. But this time, I didn’t jump in with blind optimism—I came in with clarity.

That clarity led me to create HyperLynx Studio—a new kind of space for my creative and professional work. And eventually, it carried into my current full-time role at a company I truly enjoy working for.

Carroll Media Services (2023–present, contract)

This one came full circle.

The owner of Carroll Media found me again on LinkedIn after years. He needed someone to modernize and update his website—and remembered the work I’d done years earlier. That trust, and the opportunity to rebuild something familiar, helped reignite my confidence and motivation.

I updated the site’s design and functionality, making it cleaner, faster, and easier for visitors to navigate. It wasn’t a massive overhaul—but it was thoughtful and personal.

That project reminded me: I still love this work.

HyperLynx Studio

After wrapping up the Carroll Media project, I decided to give myself a professional space again—but this time, on my own terms.

HyperLynx Studio is:

• A place to explore side projects without the pressure to go full-time

• A way to offer checklists, workbooks, and guides based on real experience

• A testing ground for new ideas that tie together design, strategy, and storytelling

• My version of “spinning silk”—but with healthier boundaries and long-term vision

I use tools like Notion, WordPress, Stripe, and Found to keep things lean and organized. I also use what I’ve learned to help others avoid the mistakes I made when starting out.

Culligan Quench (current role)

I now work at Culligan Quench on a high-volume customer portal—and I love what I do.

The work is more distributed across departments than what I handled at Coffee Shopping Network, but it gives me the chance to apply everything I’ve learned in a larger, faster-moving environment. I’ve grown into a role where I’m trusted, engaged, and valued.

That matters more to me now than ever before.

The Takeaway

This isn’t a list of perfect projects or a highlight reel. It’s a story of misalignment, growth, rediscovery, and finally—real fit.

• Some jobs taught me what not to repeat.

• Some helped me build confidence.

• And some, like this current season, remind me that the long road is worth it.

If we’ve worked together in the past—or if anything here resonates—I’d love to reconnect. This story isn’t finished. And maybe we can build something new together.
